Google's Updated Privacy Initiatives
Google is working on streamlining their privacy policy to a more user-friendly format. They will be launching their updated privacy policy on October 3, 2010. While not making changes to the underlying privacy practices, the intent of the updated policy is to allow us to better understand it. With this updated policy, which can be found in a preview mode, Google is also launching a consolidated “Privacy Tools” page.
Among these privacy tools, Google offers users the ability to have an encrypted search, rather than their standard search experience. By using https://encrypted.google.com for searching, one will have a secured channel to help protect search terms and search results pages from being intercepted by a third party.
