At Sevenforty we provide support for a wide variety of web technologies, however, we advocate and utilize a select group of technologies which provide the best performance for investment. We also extensively use these technologies in our daily work at Sevenforty.

Languages

PHP PHP
PHP is built for the web. From small business to enterprise level web applications, PHP powers many of the applications and web sites web users visit daily. We use PHP 5 extensively along with Xcache, a powerful opcode cacher for PHP.

Java
Perhaps the most portable language around, Java is another web work horse that is as mobile as it is a server-side dynamo. We use WebSphere application servers and Tomcat containers in our Java development projects.

Frameworks

Sevenforty AppBase
Our AppBase framework is a robust, object-oriented PHP 5 MVC framework that allows for rapid application development, performance, security and clean code.

Zend Framework
The Zend Framework is a professional open-source, object-oriented framework developed by Zend for PHP 5. The framework supports the MVC pattern and does not dictate specific paradigms.

MySQL
One of the most popular databases out there, MySQL — now owned by Sun Microsystems — offers complete enterprise and open source versions of its database platforms. MySQL has been powering Sevenforty projects since the days of MySQL v4 and is our database of choice.

Drupal
Drupal is a highly extendable, open-source web portal application. Drupal has achieved wide spread acclaim through the adoption by the US Government for many of its web sites and portals.

MovableType
One of the original blogging tools to hit the market and written in Perl. MovableType offers advanced tools for publishing multiple blogs, small portals and other social networking sites.
